On May 2, 2011,  Kingport successfully trained eight sales executives to become  Sustainable Energy Leaders  on behalf of the Sacramento JATC Sacramento  Training Center. 
The acronym “JATC,” or Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee  is utilized to designate the shared commitment to apprenticeship and  training by both labor and management of the electrical contracting  industry. 
 The National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA)  is the voice of the $130 billion industry responsible for bringing  electrical power, lighting, and communications to buildings and  communities across the United States.
The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) is comprised of highly skilled 750,000 union members in the United States and Canada

IBEW and NECA training centers are jointly administered by labor and management.
The vast majority of the JATCs offer apprenticeship programs  leading to journeyman status in commercial, industrial and  residential areas of the electrical industry.
